It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Beverley Ricci (née Elder) on September 23, 2024, at Markham Stouffville Hospital at the age of 76. Beloved wife of 53 years to Tony. Loving mother of Julianne (Darren), Rob (Kari), Christina, and Darren (Anastasia). Proud grandmother of Alisha, Katelyn, Cameron, and Abigail.
Beverley grew up in the Riverdale neighbourhood of Toronto, and met Tony, the love of her life, in high school at Riverdale Collegiate Institute. After graduating from Toronto East General School of Nursing in 1970, Beverley dedicated her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse. She was an incredibly compassionate, loving, and generous person who always put others ahead of herself. She enjoyed reading and knitting, and took great pride in making handmade baby blankets and accessories for her loved ones. Beverley loved relaxing at the family cottage at Rice Lake, watching reality television and baseball (she always rooted for the Toronto Blue Jays), and practicing yoga with her friends. Beverley had a keen eye for spotting wild asparagus and often went asparagus “hunting” with her husband. She had a particular fondness of donkeys and was a proud “fur grandma” to Bunny and many kitties. Beverley was a beautiful person inside and out; always elegant and gracefully put together. She often used the expression “look good, feel good!”
Beverley will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of her many extended family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.
Your thoughts and kindness are truly appreciated during this time of sorrow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honour of Beverley can be made to the PrimRose Donkey Sanctuary.

Beverly was always a gracious, beautiful person, both inside and out. Always generous in her kind words and actions, always with an inviting, warm smile. She and Tony were an inseparable perfect couple – and raised a beautiful family of four with great attention and pride.
We knew her for more than 53 precious years, and we will miss her terribly.
May she rest in eternal peace, with love, and condolences,
John & Anita Borovilos
Expressing my deepest condolences and keeping the entire family in my thoughts and prayers. Sending love, see you in a few days.
I’ve known Mrs. Ricci for over 30 years as neighbors on our cozy street. Growing up, I remember Mrs. Ricci always had a gentle heart and warm smile every time I saw her.
I am eternally grateful for her graciously helping me to get my volunteer hours through Unionville Home Society, in order to graduate highschool.
Mrs. Ricci will be missed, and my thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to Mr. Ricci and family. May she rest in peace, and our hearts consoled knowing that God will keep her in his eternal embrace.
I met Bev in nursing trading at Toronto East General and thought she always looked the epitome of the perfect nurse.
When I think of Bev, I think of gentle. A gentle voice, a gentle smile, and a gentle attitude. Her gentleness will live on with me.
We have been neighbors with Bev and Tony for over 30 years. Over the years, Bev has always been the one with the warm greetings, bright and cheerful smile. We will sorely miss her! Our thoughts and prayers are with Tony and family. May God’s blessings see you through this difficult time. Rest in peace, Bev!
My Deepest condolences to Family and friends, May her soul rest in perfect peace.
I met Bev in training at East General and always was amazed by her never ending smile , compassion and love for her soulmate Tony. I have many memories of travelling through Europe, unprepared for hiking up the Matterhorn in sandles , meeting a family that invited us to sleep on their daughters hotel room floor because they didn’t want two young women at a hostel . Jim and I will not forget having awesome dinners with Bev and Tony ( especially Tony’s famous barbecue peppers ). Bev will always be remembered for her kindness, She was an excellent nurse,a loving and involved mother , grandmother, wife and friend.
Bev & I go back to our yoga days @ the Senior’s centre & on zoom post covid. Bev did not seek to be the centre of attention but her gentle smile & kindness immediately impressed me. I will miss her dearly.
My condolences to Tony,& the entire family.
Growing up as neighbours to Bev, I knew I could always count on seeing a smile and friendly face as I came home from school. To the family and friends, I am so sorry for your loss and want to express my deepest condolences. To Bev, may you rest in everlasting peace.
Bev and Tony were the most caring neighbours growing up. It was always an pleasure engaging in cheerful chit chat, and exchanging tomatoes with my family. She will be dearly missed. Sending my deepest condolences and prayers to the whole family.
It’s been an honour and a privilege to have such a warm and wonderful person in our lives for over 45 years. We will miss you immensely.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Tony, your children and grandchildren
Dear Tony,
We were saddened to learn of your loss. Just as Beverley kept Poppy in mind with an occasional gift card, may we honour her memory with a donation to PrimRose Donkey Sanctuary.
With our deepest condolences,
Terry and Maya, your neighbours on Rice Lake
It is a deep sadness that I experienced in the loss of this lovely Lady. She’s not only the light of our yoga classes, Bev was a lovely friend. The only words that ever came out of Bev‘s mouth were kind and loving. Her eyes lit up with that beautiful smile. I felt good just by being in her presence.
I will miss her.
Namaste and peace be with Bev and with us all.
Dear Antonio and family,

Wishing you peace and comfort in the days ahead.
