elevated pAer5 1936 – 2021

elevated pAer5 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our matriarch, Bianca Fini. The gates of heaven opened for a woman who left an everlasting impact on all those who knew her. Bianca passed away on May 11, 2021, reuniting with her late husband, Adelmo, on the date of their 64th wedding anniversary. This would have been their first anniversary apart but yet, their eternal love knows no boundaries.

elevated pAer5 Born on February 8, 1936 to Nicola and Clorinda in Santa Francesca, Italy, where she spent most of her childhood. She immigrated to Canada in 1953 with her loving sisters, Virgilia, Rosa, and her brother Vincenzo. Here in Canada, she met the love of her life, Adelmo.

elevated pAer5 While building a life in a new country, she persevered. Bianca was resourceful, witty and able to conform to her new culture with ease. In partnership with Adelmo, she raised 3 sons, Carlo, Sisto and Franco. She would have done anything for her children, encompassing the qualities of a loving mother.  She was an incredibly hardworking woman and carried her Italian traditions with her. Bianca’s signature Italian specialities included ciambella, gnocchi, crispelle and sfrappole. She genuinely enjoyed making meals for her family, ensuring all were well-fed, filling the kitchen with laughter and memories.

elevated pAer5 At gatherings, Bianca always had a crowd around her; she had a true talent for storytelling. She would start recounting her story and all would end in a contagious laughter. Her companionship brightened anyone’s day. Bianca fondly remembered birthdays and would insist on calling and singing Happy Birthday, never missing a beat.

elevated pAer5 She exemplified admirable qualities of generosity, thoughtfulness and a sense of humor that lit up every room. She was tough and fearless but had a huge heart of gold.  Bianca was truly one of a kind. Ready to smother with hugs and kisses, she was always excited for a celebration. She loved to dance the Tarantella and moved in sync with the songs that her husband played on his accordion. The two were an inseparable pair.

elevated pAer5 In her most recent years, she did not let Alzheimer’s get the best of her and fought the brave battle until the very end. Bianca is now reunited with her late husband and sweetheart, Adelmo. She will be dearly missed by her sons, Carlo, Sisto (Mary) and Frank (Ana). Bianca was a loving Nonna to Vanessa (Jason), Sara (Alexander), Adam and Kathleen. May Adelmo and Bianca be celebrating their eternal love and await the day the entire family is reunited.

elevated pAer5 Due to COVID restrictions, the family will be having a private family funeral on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.  Entombment to be held at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.

elevated pAer5 Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family as your expression of sympathy.
