elevated c0lvB It is with broken hearts that the family of Brian deSilva announces his passing on July 11, 2024 at Brampton Civic Hospital after a serious illness.

elevated c0lvB Brian will be forever missed by his son, Darren (Elsa), Darren’s mother,  Colleen deSilva,  brother Noel deSilva and sister, Lorraine Majcen, nieces, nephews, in-laws and relatives around the world. He was predeceased by his mother, Bertha, sister, Audrey and young brothers Preston and Richard.   His absence will be deeply felt by friends, neighbours at Holland Christian Homes and parishioners at St. Jerome’s Parish, Brampton.

At the workplace, he was known to advocate for his colleagues and mentor younger workers.

elevated c0lvB In his leisure time, Brian pursued many hobbies and could often be found fishing on a weekend, enjoying his backyard garden and mastering new and innovative recipes in the kitchen.  Brian loved listening to music and while he appreciated many artists, no one could match his ultimate favourite, Elvis Presley.

elevated c0lvB Brian will be remembered as a generous, caring person who was always willing to help,  especially when someone was in need.  He had a strong devotion to his Catholic faith and was  dedicated to his family.

elevated c0lvB The family would particularly like to thank the health and community professionals who supported and cared for Brian before his passing.

elevated c0lvB If you would like to send flowers as an expression of sympathy, St. Jerome’s Parish will be accepting arrangements on Saturday, July 20th from 10am onwards.
