Bridget O’Donoghue
elevated qC8Sj Bridget O’DONOGHUE of Toronto, Ontario, age 88, passed away on June 17, 2021 at Markham, Ontario. She is survived by her three children Nuala (John), Larry (Krystyna) and Eamon (Jennifer) and her nine grandchildren, Tara, Ryan, Brendan, Sean, Benjamin (mother Joanne), Caitlin, Justine, Fiona and Hardy. She is predeceased by her husband, Eamon (Ed or Eddie) and her parents, Gerard and Anne.
elevated qC8Sj Bridget hailed from Ireland where several of her siblings (Anne, Gerard, John), nieces, nephews and in-laws still reside today. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and loved all things Irish.
elevated qC8Sj Family and faith were very important to Bridget and her favourite times were family gatherings, family vacations and her church spiritual and social activities, especially if they involved singing.
elevated qC8Sj The funeral will be held at Holy Cross Chapel in Thornhill (Markham) for family only due to Covid rules, on Tuesday, June 22 at 12:00 p.m. and will be streamed live. Please click the link below for those not attending.

Lots of great memories at the O’Donoghue’s with Bridget and the family as I was growing up. She was always able to get people laughing and feeling cheery. Rest in peace, Bridget.

We are saddened by the loss of my dearly beloved sister Bridie, who I had a wonderful childhood with, growing up in Coolevin Road. She always made sure I looked my best when I was dating my darling Pat. I was proud to be a groomsman at her wedding to Eddie. We always enjoyed her hospitality in their home in Santry and Willowdale. She will forever be in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Rest In Peace Bridie. Gerard & Pat xx

I’ve known Bridget for more than two years. The first day i met her, i was a bit anxious, seems to me that she is a very thorough lady. But as days goes on that i am seeing her 5 days in a week, i realized that my presumptions was wrong. She has a very strong personality, yet, kind, prompt and loving woman. We get along well. She loves concerts, driving around, fond of flowers and we even beautifying her front yard with lots of flowering plants.
I will keep Bridget’s memories in my HEART.

Today was difficult, laying my mom to rest, but it was wonderful to be together with so many people who loved her. The mass with our old parish priest, father Ed, was grand and seeing some of moms friends, including Martha Oneil was great. The gathering at my moms house afterwards for a picnic in the garden was a really good way to feel some good memories. Thanks for organizing that Tara.
