elevated rnvXX Obituary

elevated rnvXX It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow we announce the passing away of Bruno Del Grosso on June 28, 2023 at the age of 86. Cherished husband of Maria for 62 years.  Beloved father of Pietro, Rosanna (Tony), and Anthony (Rosanna).  Proud Nonno to Alessandro, Michael, Lucas Bruno, Davide Bruno and Roberto.  Dear brother to Rocco (Antonietta), Fulvio (Iolanda), Eva (Umberto), and Giuseppe.  Bruno’s memory will be forever cherished by all of his family, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.  In 1958, he arrived to Canada through Halifax’s famous Pier 21 on the MS Augustus bringing with him his faith and strong work ethic. Bruno retired from the City of North York as a Foreman in the Water Works Department.  He never faultered leading his crew in the middle of the night during severe weather to deal with difficult and dangerous situations.   In 1977, Bruno was gifted with a replica of the Veil of the Holy Face by Father Luciano Antonelli from the Basilica of Volto Santo of Manoppello.  Father Robinson at Our Lady Queen of the World Church was approached to display this Veil. A committee was formulated with Bruno being one of the founding members.  Bruno was honoured to be a long-standing member of the  Richmond Hill Knights of Columbus, Assembly 2654 for 50 years.  He was a Commander and established the living rosary where the Knights celebrated with local schools Catholic virtues through the living rosary.  He was well respected and loved by all of the Assembly and Council.

elevated rnvXX Memorial donations made to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.  The family will be providing a donation to Our Lady Queen of the World Church in honour of the Veil of the Holy Face Monument.
