Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 11, 2020. Beloved wife of Patrick for 53 years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Patricia and John Digby, Richard and Kathleen D’Souza, Kevin and Bianca D’Souza, Maria and Jason Mills, Teresa and Ryan Mendes. Cherished Nana of Elyse, Lauren, Samira, Chantal, Olivia, Reid, Calista, Benjamin, Cameron, Christopher, Emmett, and Isabella. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Sonny and Poma, Amy and Josie, Mathilda and Denis, Michael, Anthony and Lynn, Monica and Joe, Valley and Sandra, Marie and Henry. She will be deeply missed by all of her extended family and friends.
elevated oGc9y Mom will be fondly remembered by all who knew her as a practical person with a wonderful sense of humour. Her strong faith enabled her to advocate for all churches to offer a 7:30 a.m. Mass so people could start their day in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Mom made humility and simplicity a way of life. She was authentic and placed love for family and God as a priority. Mom was brave, she was resilient, innovative and she put passion and vigor into every day.

Dear Pat and family-
I saw you (Pat) alone at mass today and checked online finding Carmel’s obituary.
So sorry. This is definitely after the fact. I thought Carmel recovered and going to Fisher for mass was easier.
Carmel and I spent many times chatting.. as my classroom was her first for cleaning at Fisher school. We had great talks. I also remember Patricia working in my classroom.
No more words…I’m so sad for all of you.
