elevated dLxhB Obituary

elevated dLxhB Carmelina Nicolina Pittiglio, age 66, passed away peacefully October 20th, 2021 due to complications from Covid-19. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her passing. She was born May 10th, 1955 in Carovilli, Isernia, Italy to Giuseppe and Delia DiGiacomo. She immigrated to Canada as a young woman, leaving her parents, brother Stefano (pre-deceased) and sister Dina. In Toronto she joined her sister Bruna, who is and will always be not only her sister, but her best friend. She married the love of her life Giuseppe Pittiglio, on October 7th, 1978.

elevated dLxhB Carmelina loved her family and friends who were the center of her life. She loved taking walks in the nearby forest ending up at the pond where she would feed the ducks and geese. Her other passions were reading suspense novels and Italian magazines, playing video games on her phone and watching Italian television programs. She also loved hanging around with her beloved parrot Polo. The happiest moments that could be witnessed were the times she received pictures from her niece Sonia of her great niece and nephew Giada and Gabriel.

elevated dLxhB Her life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” She only had the capacity to love, not only towards her family and friends, but also friends of her loved ones who she had never met.

elevated dLxhB Carmelina is survived by her husband Giuseppe, sons Antonio and Andrew, her sisters, and her extended family of sister in laws, brother in laws, niece and nephews. She was loved in life, and she will be missed in death. Her beauty and strength will be with us forever.
