elevated sqqIS Obituary
In Loving Memory of a Remarkable Man

elevated sqqIS Beloved Husband, Father, Nonno, Bisnonno, and Brother

elevated sqqIS It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of a truly extraordinary man, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, and loyal brother and brother-in-law. Carmen was born in Modica, Sicily to his beloved parents Felice & Orazia, immigrating to Canada at the age of 13.

elevated sqqIS Surrounded by the love of his family, he left this world as he lived it: peacefully, humbly, and with dignity.  A man of quiet strength and unwavering values, he lived his life guided by love, faith, and a deep commitment to his family. To him, life was not measured by material things, but by the moments shared with those he loved most. His greatest joy came not from accomplishments or possessions, but from simple pleasures , a family meal, the laughter of his grandchildren, a gentle hand held in his, or a quiet afternoon in the company of his beloved wife, Assunta, his one and only love, his heart and soul.

elevated sqqIS Together, they built a life full of love, warmth, and devotion. Their bond stood as a shining example of what it means to love deeply, faithfully, and forever. Through every joy and every sorrow, they stood side by side,  a testament to enduring love and partnership.

elevated sqqIS He was a proud and loving father to Grace and her husband Mike, Maria and her husband Mario, Robert and his wife Heather, and his late son Phil, whose memory remains forever in our hearts, along with Phil’s partner Jackie. He instilled in his children the values of kindness, humility, hard work, and above all, the importance of family , values they carry forward and now pass on to their own children.

elevated sqqIS As a grandfather, Nonno, he was the heart of the family, a teacher, a gentle soul who brought calm and joy into every room he entered and a welcoming heart. He leaves behind a legacy of love in his grandchildren: Rosie (Robert), Melissa ( Jon), Rocco ( Candice), Marco ( Yael), Stephanie ( Connor), Juliano, Sebastian, Alexander, Francesca, and Giuliana. Each of them carries a piece of his strength, his kindness, and his timeless wisdom.

elevated sqqIS His heart grew even fuller with the arrival of his great-grandchildren: Leo, Aria, Celeste, Chloe, Paolo, Capri, William, and Romeo , the next generation of love, laughter, and family.

elevated sqqIS To his brothers and sisters, he was a source of steadiness and support,  a man who never forgot his roots and whose loyalty knew no bounds.

elevated sqqIS He will be remembered for his gentle smile, his warm hugs, his quiet presence that brought comfort without words, and his unwavering love for his family. He was a man who needed little but gave so much. His was a life lived with grace, integrity, and a heart wide open.

elevated sqqIS Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on in the traditions he passed down, the stories we will tell, and the love that binds us all. His legacy is one of faith, simplicity, and family,  the things he held most dear.

elevated sqqIS We take comfort in knowing he is now at peace, reunited with his beloved son Phil, and watching over us all. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Howard Clasky and his dedicated team for the exceptional care and compassion they provided to our beloved father during his 5 week hospital stay.  We will forever be grateful for the kindness patience and respect shown to him throughout his care.

elevated sqqIS Forever loved. Never forgotten.

elevated sqqIS Rest in peace.
