It is with great sadness and a profound sense of loss that we announce the peaceful passing of Cecilia Zizek (nee Kranjec) on August 1, 2024, at Sunnybrook Hospital, surrounded by her loving husband and children. Born on November 17, 1948 in Velika Polana, Prekmurje, Slovenia to parents Stefan and Marija. Cherished wife for 57 wonderful years to Lojze. Beloved mother of Alojz Jr. (Mary), Susan (Mark) and Julie (Adrian). Proud grandmother to Moreah, Alyssa, Noah, Chloe, Simon, Matthew, Mallory and Daina. “Cila” will be lovingly remembered and be missed terribly by her sisters and brothers: Marija (late Anton), Ignac (Matilda), Rozina (late Ignac), late Donat, late Vinko (late Vera) and late Jozef (Suzanne). Cecilia will also be held dear in the hearts of her many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.
elevated K8XFF She loved singing, dancing, being with her husband and just spending time with family and friends. Her kindness, generosity, beautiful voice and smile will be remembered forever.
