Christine Marie Sau Leng Lee (nee Lai) passed away peacefully on Saturday February 6, 2021 due to complications related to her ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). 

Beloved wife of Joseph for 57 years. Loving mother to Jeanette (Vito) and Jonathan (Aloysia) and grandmother to Johanna (Omar) and Monika Pinto Lee.  Dear sister to Peter Kwok Cheung (Yvonne), Sau Chink, Raymond Kwok Meng (Sally), Kwok Keung, Sr. Catherine Sau Ngo, Sabina Sau May (KY), Kwok Choy, Kwok Onn (Eileen), Kwok Loyd (Lai Hing), Angela Sau Fong, and Kwok Lim (Josephine).  Aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews in Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, UK, and USA.

Born on April 20, 1939 in Ipoh , Malaysia.  She completed her A Levels at the Anglo-Chinese Girls’ School, Ipoh, teacher training program at Brinsford Teacher Training College, UK and received a Bachelor of Science from York University, Toronto.

She immigrated to Canada in 1971 and began working as an Accountant with MCA Records.  In 1975 she began teaching with the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TDSB) formerly Metropolitan Separate School Board (MSSB) at St. Norbert and St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Schools.

Christine loved gardening, watching Blue Jay baseball, snorkelling, and fishing.  These activities brought great joy to her. 

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre – ALS Clinic and MacKenzie Health for their compassionate care.
