It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Colleen Julia Hayes, who left us far too soon on July 15, 2025, at the age of 59.
elevated cikVf Colleen was a loving Mother to her three sons: Aidan, Liam and Connor. Born on May 6, 1966, in Toronto, Ontario to two proud Irish parents – Laurence and Bernadette Hayes. A devoted mother survived by her three sons and predeceased by her mother and father.
elevated cikVf Colleen was a lively, adventurous spirit who loved to travel the world. She was fortunate enough to combine her passion and career, working as a flight attendant for 20+ years. She was known for her great sense of humour and her unwavering ability to make friends feel like family.
elevated cikVf Colleen loved to be active. Whether it was long morning walks throughout the neighbourhood or her yoga classes. She loved being outdoors in the sun and being in touch with nature. She found peace and comfort in spending time with the many dogs she had throughout her life and cherished being with her children and friends. Colleen held deep in her heart her Irish heritage and upbringing. Ireland was one of her favourite places to visit and took great pride in being Irish.
elevated cikVf She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, friends and co-workers forever. May her precious youthful soul rest in peace.
elevated cikVf Private interment of Cremated Remains will take place at a later date. Please join the family following the funeral mass at Cuchulainn’s Irish Pub (158 Queen Street South, Mississauga, ON) for a Celebration of Life.

Dear Liam and Family,
In your time of sorrow, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
Colleen or “Pet,” as we all called her, I still can’t believe she’s gone. I hadn’t seen her lately, and the news came as such a sudden shock. It’s hard to imagine a world without her bright energy.
We had many memories together… our trips Mexico, New York, and Ireland, where she loved and fit right in, like a little leprechaun. So full of laughter, bevvies and that fast-paced walk of hers. She was tiny, like a real-life Polly Pocket, but had a presence that filled every room. What a smile and those sparkly eyes.
In Mary’s kitchen we shared many a glass of wine, and stories that included that classic line: “There’s always a kicker.” And oh, when she said “Linda, listen…” you knew something hilarious was coming next.
Pet, you will be missed.
Aiden, Liam and Connor sending you so much love and prayers. May the memories you have with your Mom help you through this very difficult time.
Aiden, Liam, Connor and family. Our sincere condolences for your loss. The Doyle family
