It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cosmo Romano, age 77, on January 30, 2025, at Southlake Hospital in the Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Campobasso, Molise, Italy, on June 23, 1947, Cosmo made his home in Canada, where he touched the lives of many with his hard work, kindness, and infectious passion for life.

elevated D59eE A proud member of Local 46, Cosmo worked as a steamfitter, building a reputation for his unmatched skill and attention to detail. His colleagues and friends will always remember his motto: “Measure twice, cut once.” Cosmo was always willing to lend a hand, sharing his knowledge and expertise with anyone in need.

He was also passionate about fast sports cars, with his 2013 Camaro holding a special place in his heart. This car wasn’t just a symbol of his love for speed but also a source of many cherished moments with his grandson, Luke. The two of them shared countless rides together, creating memories that Cosmo held dear. He often spoke of the day when Luke, at 16, would take the wheel and continue on new adventures, with the Camaro becoming Luke’s to enjoy, just as they had together.

He took immense pride in his property, spending countless hours tending to his garden and meticulously maintaining his yard. It was the one activity that brought him true peace and satisfaction. The sight of his pristine property was a reflection of his character—patient, dedicated, and always striving for perfection. Gardening was more than just a hobby for Cosmo; it was a passion that brought him immense joy and was a testament to his love for creating beauty in all aspects of his life.
