elevated V7Jdu Obituary
elevated V7Jdu It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Cyril Hunt on March 20, 2022 at True Davidson Acres Home for the Aged at the age of 87. Cyril was born April 29, 1934 in Greenfield, Nova Scotia, to parents Aub and Florence Hunt, and grew up alongside his siblings, Ernie, Mary, and Ron. Cyril loved Nova Scotia and raised a wonderful family of his own in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. His career at the Bank of Nova Scotia later gave him the opportunity to move to Toronto in 1968, where he met, fell in love with, and married Nada, his wife of 51 years. Nada was his rock who he consistently cherished. She will forever miss his love, company, support and partnership.
elevated V7Jdu Cyril was preceded in death by his two children, Kevin and Blair Hunt. He was so loved and will forever be missed by his children Susan (Jeff) Aldred, Gary Hunt, Michael (Yulia) Siminic, and Jennifer (Anthony) Ritchie. His grandchildren Avery, Keira, Quinn, Adam, Evan, Spencer, Corey, and Lucas were the twinkle in his eye that brought an immeasurable amount of pride, joy, and love to his life, as did his great-grandchildren Boston, Callaghan, Arya, Elliott, and Bentley.
elevated V7Jdu Cyril’s joy and passion was fishing for, and usually landing, “the next big one” and spending as much time as possible by the lake enjoying cottage-life and the socializing that came with it! He always took interest in the lives of those around him and made it a point to remember your name. His kindness, his smile, and his friendly personality blessed all those that were lucky enough to meet him. To know him was to love him.
elevated V7Jdu The family would like to extend their greatest thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staff of True Davidson Acres who provided Cyril with such great care and support over the last three years and, especially, in these last several weeks.
elevated V7Jdu If desired, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
