elevated C5uVL It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daisy Mary Zerafa, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday, February 28, in her 86th year.
elevated C5uVL Daisy was born on September 1, 1939, in Paola, Malta, to Giuseppe and Pauline Fava. In 1955, she married the love of her life, Michael Zerafa. At only 16, Daisy embarked on a solo journey across the ocean to reunite with her husband. Michael and Daisy settled in Toronto, Canada and began to build a new life together in The Junction Neighbourhood, a Maltese immigrant community.
elevated C5uVL Daisy will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 69 years, Michael Zerafa, and her cherished children: Joseph (Heather) Zerafa, Rose Miles, and Michael Zerafa Jr. (Tammy). She was a loving and devoted Nanna to her grandchildren, Johanna Zerafa, Jessica Zerafa, Brianna Bell (Daniel), and Jason Zerafa. She also adored her great-granddaughters, Penelope Bell, Georgia Bell, Harper Pollard, and Eloise Bell.
elevated C5uVL Daisy dedicated many years to her career at Nortel before retiring in 1994. In her retirement, she found joy in spending time with friends at the Malta Band Club, travelling, and cooking her cherished Maltese recipes for family and friends. She treasured her visits with family in Malta, Montreal, Chicago, and Florida.
elevated C5uVL She is predeceased by her parents, Giuseppe and Pauline, her sister Violet Grech, and her nephew Godwin Grech.

Dear Rose and family, my sincere condolences on the passing of your mother.
I remember her in the kitchen telling me how to cook potatoes when we were in middle school. She said I used too much water, which I did.
