It is with the greatest of sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Damian N. Pastorfide Jr at the age of 89 years. While we are heartbroken, we are grateful that he lived a full life and in his own words “he was satisfied”. 

elevated Sh7V1 He was born in Cagayan De Oro, Philippines to the late father Damian Pastorfide Sr and late mother Anacoreta Neri Pastorfide on December 2, 1936. He was the eldest brother to his three other siblings being his late sister Ligaya, late brother Rodolfo and sister Susan. 

elevated Sh7V1 He is survived by his wife Adelia, his children: Damian III, Ana, Agnes and Aida, his grandchildren: Antoinette, Victoria and Anthony, his great grandchildren: Malainna, Dominic, Charlize and Rosa

elevated Sh7V1 He was a child survivor of WII Philippines under Japanese occupation.

elevated Sh7V1 After he married, he moved to Toronto, Canada in the late 60s to settle in before his wife and 3 children (one was born abroad) came over to live a new life in the west.

elevated Sh7V1 He had worked at various electrical engineer related positions, notably at the University of Toronto as a professor aide, Mr. Christie’s, Honest Ed’s (duties included that all bulbs were lit on their infamous sign) and Sears.

elevated Sh7V1 He was a devout Catholic and his interests included traveling, on going learning and technology. He also enjoyed watching boxing, basketball and baseball.

elevated Sh7V1 Over the decades he shared smiles and stories everywhere he went, spreading positivity while unknowingly touching the lives of family, friends and acquaintances alike. He will be terribly missed by all.
