elevated xJpNq Obituary
Our father Denis passed peacefully, surrounded by family, on January 30th. He had a life filled with adventure and was always interested in doing more. He married Lena, who was his life long partner. She shares his memories with their two daughters, Sylvia (Charles Gibson), Cynthia (Albert Ng), and son Vincent (Stefanie Brockerville) and grandchildren Matthew and Sarah. He was most happy to travel the world with friends and to capture those memories on film. Early in his career he moved from Hong Kong to Corner Brook, Newfoundland. His selfless service grew in time into a sense of mutual belonging in a newfound home. Through all his life he had a great sense of mischief. For those who knew him well, it was his signature.
elevated xJpNq Denis Wong was born in Canton in 1933. He pursued his medical education in Hong Kong, earning his medical degree from the University of Hong Kong in 1959. He went on to continue studies to become a radiologist. His commitment to learning and service shaped the course of his life and career.

We nicknamed him Denis the Menace. Never knew whether or not to take him seriously. Always fun travelling with him and Lena. He could outpace all of us. Will miss him dearly
May Dr Wong rest in eternal peace. He left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege to have known him. His smile and humour was his signature.
We miss you already
Deepest condolences to all the family
Dr. Wong had a place in everyone’s hearts with his smile, the way he made everyone feel important, and with his humour. We miss you so much. It was a true privilege to know you. Sending my deepest condolences to his loved ones.
It is really saddening to hear about the passing away of uncle Dennis. I still remember clearly uncle’s laughter, voice, smiles, his look when eating,… etc. in the house in Corner Brook. Newfoundland. I shall always remember him in my heart. Wishing you peace & comfort at this most difficult time.
My dearest Wong Gorgor.
You’ve been like a brother to me since I was 11 when you were dating my sister Lena.
I will particularly treasure our many holiday and cruising adventures over the years. Whenever you visited us in Sydney, you’d always requested having mud crabs on arrival, both our favourite!
We’ll miss your cheekiness, sense of fun and mischievous grin.
Rest peacefully knowing that you did a wonderful job raising three incredible children, and feel confident that Lena will always be well looked after.
We will always remember you.
With much love, May, Chris, Ada, Alan and families.
Denis with one ‘n’ has been like a brother to me. He taught me a lot of things since we first met. We have travelled many a trip together especially in November to celebrate our birthdays together. We have to wait for him to finish the first course after we have finished the whole dinner. His mischiefs are infectious. I will always remember him.
