elevated zyWBF Domenica passed away peacefully, surrounded by love on January 11th, 2026 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her esteemed husband Attilio, and loving mother of Charles (Saveria) and Joanne (Richard). Forever adored by her grandchildren Cassandra, Attilio, Domenique, Olivia and Lia.
elevated zyWBF Born to parents Filippo Castellano and Filippa Ciaravella in the valley town of Cianciana-Sicily, she met her greatest love there and eventually emigrated to Canada where she became a proud Ital-Canadian citizen.
elevated zyWBF Domenica was by far the strongest branch of our family tree. Her legacy as a genuine matriarch began during her childhood as she helped raise her four younger brothers, Frank, Tony, Joe and Angelo. From when she was a child, her energy and zest for life was infectious. She led a life that emphasized connection, empathy and love for everyone around her, with her family never wavering as her number one priority. We will forever admire her immeasurable strength and tenacity which was on full display for all her life.

Charles, My heartfelt sympathy to you and yours at this sad time. Please accept me and Pam’s sincere condolences. I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing your mom, but I will always remember our many talks and discussions about how you are helping your Mom. You would always say, ‘Charles aggiusta tutto’, and that you did. You always amazed me with how much you thought about, cared for, and helped your Mother. She obviously raised a wonderful loving son.
