elevated 7A4fC Obituary

elevated 7A4fC It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearest Domenico (Mimi’) Faraone; beloved husband, father and grandfather. God called him home on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Mimi’ was born in Archi, Reggio Calabria in 1932 and passed away peacefully at 92 years of age, surrounded by his children. Beloved husband of Teresina (Sina). Loving father of Olivia, Ray (Julie), Rosemary (Eddie), Carlo (Lucy), Angelina (Michele) and Iolanda (Ron). Adored nonno of Sasha (Markus), Ryan (Anna-Maria), Alex, Felicia (Andrew), Jean-Luc, Lucas, Marcus, Michael, Krizia (Peter), Michael, Alessandra, Isabella, Jessica, Julia, and Amanda (Jose). Cherished bisnonno of Adelaide.

elevated 7A4fC Domenico reunited with his father, Raimondo, his mother, Olivia Giordano and his siblings, Francesco, Giuseppe, Angelina, and Teresa in God’s eternal presence. Madonna too was there to welcome poppa home. He is survived by his siblings Pasquale and Maria as well as his in-laws, Natalina Baggetta, Domenico and Modesta Mercuri, Maria and Francesco Reale. Domenico will be missed but lives on through his children and grandchildren, whom he held so dear and loved fiercely; he was a proud papa’ and nonno. His greatest love was for his wife, Sina. Together they raised a family and loved each other for 67 years.

elevated 7A4fC Domenico loved his garden, bocce, politics and was always up for a game of Briscola.

elevated 7A4fC He came to Canada, crossing the Atlantic Ocean on the Vulcania with his wife and children, Olivia and Ray in 1961, with the dream of a better life for his family. Together with Teresina they worked and overcame obstacles and realized all their hopes and dreams; he considered his children his greatest achievement. He will live on through them.

elevated 7A4fC Domenico will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all his extended family and friends. He will continue to guide us. May he rest in God’s eternal peace.

elevated 7A4fC Caro papa’, resterai nei nostri cuori; ci mancherai pero’ ci sarai sempre vicino.
