With heartfelt love and remembrance, the family of Edna Frances Paragua, would like to share that after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, she passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, at the age of 83, surrounded by the love of her family.
elevated k2EEd Beloved wife of Orlando Paragua for 56 cherished years. Loving mother to Edna Lynn (Marlon), Jennifer (James), and Aimee (Shawn). Proud grandmother to Jaden, Jett, Noah, Malaya, Chloë, and Naomi.
Predeceased by her mother Benita Almoninia and her brother, Romilio Almoninia, Edna leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that touched everyone who knew her.
elevated k2EEd Edna began her nursing career at an American base in Zambales and Quirino General Hospital in the Philippines before immigrating to Canada at the age of 25, where she dedicated 38 years of service as a nurse and ECG tech at General Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie. Her warmth, strength, and dedication brought comfort to countless patients and colleagues over the decades.
elevated k2EEd Outside of her professional life, Edna was a proud and supportive dance mom, a passionate baker and cook, a talented gardener, and most of all, a devoted grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.
elevated k2EEd Her memory will forever be a blessing to all who loved her.

Our heartfelt condolences on the passing of a great woman my children called Lola Paragua. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. We were blessed to have gotten to know her and see first hand what an incredible person she truly was. My dear friends your mother will always live with you. Sending you all love and strength.
My heart breaks to hear this news today. I know it was a long battle and now she is in a better place. A place where she can finally find peace.

Suffering is a part of life. But hindi ibig sabihin na… if you’re a follower of Christ and you believe in God, it doesn’t mean life would be free of suffering. It’s part of life. Suffering is … there’s always a reason for things happening in our lives.
It’s important to understand in spite of how difficult our situation is, even if it doesn’t seem or look good, God is still good. And He will always have a reason and purpose for a lot of things to happen in our lives.
All we have to do is trust Him because He has good and better plans for us. And pain and suffering will always be the foundation of which beautiful things are going to be built by God into us.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May your mother’s soul rest in peace, and may you find comfort in the love that surrounds you.
