elevated Nxrh0 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Egidio Mariani, on Sunday, May 30th, at the age of 89.
elevated Nxrh0 He will be missed by his wife of 63 years, Maria Civita. A loving father of Maria Luigia(Luigi), Antonio(Angela), Anna(Anthony), and Antonietta, now reunited with. A proud and loving nonno to Antonio(Chihiro), Paolo(Linda), Antonietta, Roberto, Adriano, and Joseph. Egidio will always be remembered by his brother Mario(Maria), brother-in-law Rocco(late Maria Luigia), sister-in-law Assunta(late Luigi).
elevated Nxrh0 Egidio was born on March 16th, 1932 in Terelle, Frosinone. He immigrated to Canada with his wife Maria Civita and their six month old daughter Maria Luigia in May of 1960. He was a hard-working man that always provided for his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, with his famous line “you’re the best, to the east and west”. He had a sarcastic sense of humour and quick one-liners that you could anticipate, but still made you laugh. He loved working in his garden, going for walks in nearby malls with friends, and playing solitaire throughout the day. This is what kept his mind sharp. Egidio served many years on the executive committee of the Terelle Social Club and took his role as Consigliere very seriously.
