elevated OXhLM December 29, 1951 ~ March 17, 2020
elevated OXhLM Caruso, Eileen (nee McAlpine) – Peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Mackenzie Health. Beloved wife of Giacomo “Jack” Caruso. Loving mother of Nick, Lisa and her husband David Alves, Anthony and his wife Cecilia. Cherished grandmother of Nicholas Jr., Isabella, Peter, Genevive, Luca, Noah, Mateo, Clara, and Catherine. Dear sister of Robert McAlpine and his wife Shirley.
elevated OXhLM It is with very heavy hearts that our family has made the difficult decision to hold a private funeral with our immediate family, to honor of our dear mother, Eileen Caruso.
elevated OXhLM This decision was made due to the evolving status of COVID-19. We have chosen to do this in order to minimize the threat of spreading the coronavirus.
elevated OXhLM Ultimately, we recognize that the health and safety of our loved ones comes first.
elevated OXhLM Sending your love and support at this time is very appreciated, and we welcome your messages of condolence. However, we do not want anyone to put their health and safety at risk.
elevated OXhLM In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family as your expression of sympathy.
Thinking of you Jack and your wonderful family and your lovely grandchildren. It was my privilege to know Eileen for the very short time that I had meet her. Rest peacefully in Gods love Eileen . Mary Bill and Family.
Thinking of all of you at this difficult time ..my sincere and heartfelt condolences to Jack and the family words can’t express how heartbroken we all are ..Eileen rest in peace and watch over us like the angel you are ❤
We just returned from Florida at the end of last week. We had no idea that Eileen had been hospitalized.
The news of her passing has left us in complete shock.
Eileen was a very happy, loving and caring woman and we are going to miss her greatly.
The death of a loved one is always extremely difficult, but now with the covid-19 virus shedding a dark cloud over us; it will make the loss so much more difficult.
At a time like this….we need the support of family and friends, but with this social distancing and “self-isolation” it makes this a lot more challenging. It leaves us grieving and supporting the family at a distance. Although we might not be there in person; we are there grieving in spirit.
We pray that God will give everyone who is grieving her loss the strength and courage they are so much in need of at this time.
Jack we offer our deepest and sincere condolences to you and your daughter/sons and their respectively families.
Eileen you will be greatly missed.
Our prayers are with you all.
Vince, Pina Mancini and Family

We did have the privilege of meeting Eileen but we can only imagine how truly special she was if she is anything like you Anthony. Hold on to your memories and cherish all of the special moments you shared with Eileen.
