elevated 3Mwmm It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Elias Antoine El-Chaar. He passed away at his home, with his children by his side.

elevated 3Mwmm Elias will forever be remembered as a loving Dad to Alicia and Daniel. He will forever be remembered by his wife Anna El-chaar. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of his siblings; Samira (Tony) Carriere, Samir (Claude) Chaar, Zena (Joseph) Francis, Najla (Salim) Sleimane and his loving nieces and nephews.

elevated 3Mwmm Our dad was born in Lebanon, on October 24th, 1966. He grew up with five siblings. He has left behind fifteen beautiful nieces and nephews that he adored and praised like they were his own. He was raised in Lebanon and was drafted into the Lebanese Special Forces Commando Army in the early 80’s. He spent most of his life in the autobody and auto glass business which led to his passion for cars and motorcycles. From a young age our dad was always working hard to help his entire family. He had a powerful willingness to always help friends and family wherever he could.

elevated 3Mwmm Our dad came to Canada in 1990 to start a better life. His plan was originally to stay in Montreal but ended up in Toronto. He lived with his brothers for a few years then later met our mother, Anna Martelli. By 1995, he got married and 1 year later had Alicia. By 2001, he had Daniel.

elevated 3Mwmm We will forever remember our dad always wanting to be outdoors, building so many different things. Our dad always was up to something, some sort of project. As we have always said about him, he could never stay still. The cottage became a special place for our dad where he taught us so much of what we know today. We have so many memories of him teaching us how to swim, drive, or even just to have fun. He always wanted us to be with our cousins to enjoy life and always stick together.

elevated 3Mwmm Our dad also loved to be with friends whether it was hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, going for a boat ride, or simply having long chats and enjoying each other’s company. Our dad loved to sing, dance, party, and drink. He also loved to travel and took us to so many beautiful countries where we will never forget the experiences we shared there. Our dad enjoyed hot sunny weather and always wished he lived on the beach. Our dad always wanted to have a good time. His energy and love of life is what we will miss the most.

elevated 3Mwmm My brother and I will never forget his teaching of lectures and life lessons. We will never forget his ‘bad’ dad jokes but it is now time that we reflect and realize what he was really trying to teach us.  Our dad wanted nothing but the best for us and worked so hard for us to have such an amazing childhood and good life. Our dad always wanted us to help others and be the good neighbor just as he was.

elevated 3Mwmm Our dad had a tough struggle towards the end of his life in his illness but his recent journey reminded us about one of his best characteristics, his strength. Our dad was a fighter right up until his end. We are so proud of him and all that he went through.Our dad was too good for this world and he will be dearly missed by so many. We will never forget him and we will continue to honor his name.

elevated 3Mwmm Dearest dad, may you finally rest in peace. It is now our turn to continue to make you proud of us, as you always wanted us too.

elevated 3Mwmm My brother and I want us all to try and focus on the good memories as we grieve during this difficult time. We have included a link for you all to watch to remember some of the good memories that we were able to gather of our beloved father, as he should be remembered;
