With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Elias Mabardi on June 30, 2026, in Newmarket, Ontario, at the age of 93.
Born on April 24, 1933, in Damascus, Syria, Elias lived a remarkable life filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories. He was a man of warmth, generosity, and quiet strength whose greatest joy was found in the company of his family.
Elias was predeceased by his beloved wife, Angele, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, companionship, and treasured experiences. Their enduring bond remained at the heart of his life and was reflected in the deep affection he showed to those around him.
A devoted father, he will be forever loved and sadly missed by his daughters, Christiane (Kevork) and Carol. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Ani, Hagop, Jay, and Amanda, who brought immeasurable happiness and pride to his life.
Elias was also predeceased by his brother and sisters and leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will fondly remember his kindness, gentle spirit and warm smile.
He embraced life with passion and enthusiasm. Elias had a deep appreciation for photography, enjoyed watching soccer and all sports, loved a spirited game of poker, and never passed up the opportunity to gather around a table filled with delicious Italian food and decadent desserts. He found joy in travelling, sharing memorable moments with family, and spending evenings watching his favourite movies. Above all, Elias will be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his beloved wife, Angele, and for the immense pride he took in his family.
His legacy of love, laughter, and togetherness will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Forever remembered, forever loved, and forever missed.
