elevated Salkv On Wednesday July 21, 2021, Elizabeth (Betty) Griffin passed away peacefully at home at 90 years of age.  Born in Dublin Ireland, she emigrated to Canada in 1956 with her beloved husband Michael and six young children. They added another six children in Canada to make an even dozen. Betty always made time for her children.  She was fiercely proud of all their accomplishments and encouraged each and everyone of them.  The Griffin household welcomed everyone and there was always room at the dinner table or an extra place to sleep.

elevated Salkv Betty is predeceased by her husband  of 50 years Michael, as well as her youngest son Brendan.  She leaves behind a living legacy in her 11 children, Michael (Marilyn), Brian (Pat), Robert (Collette), Declan (Joanne), Irene (Charles) ,Aidan (Sherry), Ciaran (Renee), Sheila (Gordon), Patricia (Daryl),Alan (Michelle), Neil (Lianne), her sister Maureen, brothers John (Anne) and James (Anita) as well as her 30 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

elevated Salkv A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday July 28th at 10:00am  at St. Dominic’s Church, 625 Atwater Ave, Mississauga L5G 2A8.  Visitation will be held at Assumption Catholic Cemetery (6933 Tomken Rd, Mississauga, ON) on Tuesday July 27th from 4pm-8pm.  We are required to follow Covid-19 regulations allowing only 25 people in at a time ensuring everyone has a chance to pay their respects.  Visitors must sign up in advance here  Click this link to go to our invitation page on Signup: https://signup.com/go/rbxKZzX 

elevated Salkv We will all miss Betty, she was a very special wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother and friend. We will keep her memory alive with the many wonderful stories and times we had with her.  She was an amazing woman.

elevated Salkv The family also has immense gratitude for mom’s caregivers over the last few years who provided love, comfort, support and wonderful care. Thank you Emily, Shirley and Kim.
