elevated A8X3O It is with great sadness that the family of Elvira Cecchini announces her passing. Born in Cosenza Calabria Italy. May 16, 1939, passed away peacefully March 16, 2021. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, in Toronto Ontario at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Luigi Cecchini (deceased) Loving Mother of Dave Cecchini, Carlo Cecchini, Lisa Cecchini and husband Vito Ferrante. Adored grandmother of Cristian, Sofia and Gianpaul. Dear sister of Anna Molinaro and husband Francesco, Rosaria Greco and husband Umberto (deceased), Bianca Cecchini and husband Mario (deceased), Clara Peluso and husband Santo.
elevated A8X3O This special woman always had a smile on her face. She celebrated the simple things in life and never took anything for granted. Like sunny days, sitting outside on her red chairs, watering her flowers, laughing with her grandkids, sharing stories of her sisters. She will be dearly missed.
elevated A8X3O A Private grave-site ceremony will be held on March 25, 2021, and due to covid restrictions there will be a private visitation and mass.
elevated A8X3O In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Elvira to Alzheimer’s and Dementia and Heart and Stroke.

Lisa, Dave and Carlo, my most sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. What a wonderful woman. One of the kindest and most sincere individuals that I have ever met. She was always so kind to me and whenever we met she greeted me with a big smile. Even though I only met occasionally (often at Remezzo with Lisa and Vito) I found myself in a deep conversations with her almost immediately. She made everyone so comfortable in her presence. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered.

Dear Zia.
If you are reading this, I just wanted to let you know how much I deeply miss you and wanted to let you know how much I love you for just being you, a wonderful, kind, loving Zia, with a great sense of humour, readily offering your time to listen in your kitchen with an espresso ready.
Zia was person who loved everyone unconditionally, who only saw the good in people, and was proud of all her children & grandchildren, and grateful for having met my late Zio Luigi whom she loved dearly.
I admired Zia’s faith and love for God and am comforted knowing that her spirit now is making her journey home to rest in peace to be with our Father & Zio in heaven. I feel truly blessed & fortunate for having had her in my life, literally living next door to my family for the majority of my life.
