It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Emma Nasato (nee Venneri) on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the age of 82.

elevated DvlI0 Emma was born in Santo Stefano di Rogliano, Calabria, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1960. She built a beautiful life rooted in family, faith, and community.

elevated DvlI0 She was the beloved wife of Pietro Nasato for 61 wonderful years, a partnership defined by love, commitment, and shared memories.

elevated DvlI0 She was a devoted and loving mother to: Angela & Walter Lucchetta, Ralph & Laura, and Paul & Monique. Emma’s greatest joy was her family, and she took immense pride in her grandchildren: Lucas & Alcina, Michael, Matthew & Camryn, Joseph, Natasha, and David, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

elevated DvlI0 Emma will be remembered as a caring sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.

elevated DvlI0 She is survived by her brothers and sisters: Fred & Judy Venneri; Anna & Joe Roselli; Marcella & the late Lenny Serravalle; and Caterina & the late Claudio Pontello. Emma was predeceased by her parents Alberto and Giovaninna Venneri, and her siblings: Lidio & Teresa Venneri; Vanda & Raffaele Guarasci; Ester & Attilio Becevello; Rita & Ilario Maritan; and Merino Nasato.

elevated DvlI0 Emma will always hold a special place in the hearts of her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

elevated DvlI0 She was actively involved in her neighbourhood and church community and found immense joy in life’s simple pleasures, including time with friends and family, sharing laughter while playing cards and bingo, and taking bus trips to the casino.

elevated DvlI0 The family extends its sincere gratitude to her devoted personal support worker, Candita, whose compassionate care of Emma over the past ten years will be gratefully remembered.

elevated DvlI0 Emma’s legacy is one of love, faith, strength, and devotion to those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
