Peacefully passed on Wednesday, February 1st, 2023 in the comforts of her home. Loving wife of John Lee. Beloved mother to Winston and Vanessa. Cherished sister to Portia, Gloria, and Alex. Precious daughter to Shui King Cheung and Chin Pang Lo.
elevated LrJPI Esther poured her brightness and positivity into everything she did. She shared her kindness and generosity with everyone. Her smile brought so much warmth to any room and was always willing to give positive support to anyone who needed it. Esther loved the simple things; enjoying desserts along with a cup of hot coffee, spending her Saturday afternoons having weekly lunch dates with her kids Winston and Vanessa, and falling asleep while watching her favourite Korean dramas. Special thank you to the team at Centenary Hospital’s oncology clinic for all your help and support, especially Dr. Paul Lau and the head nurse Yoga.
elevated LrJPI The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East. (west of Bayview Ave.), on Saturday, February 11th, 2023 from 10:00am – 12:00pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at the funeral home within the Chapel of St. Joseph on the same day at 12:00 p.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.

Esther you fought so valiantly the last few years. At last you are without pain and at peace.

Although I haven’t seen Esther for a few years, she definitely left an indelible mark on me with her kindness, ready smile and sense of humour. I will miss her greeting me with “hello my friend”.

I have been working with Esther in the same office for over ten years. She was definitely one of the most devoted MAs. I could always see her or hear her whenever I went to office, at her working station, in the kitchen area or in the hallway.
Yesterday I went to office again. I walked around the office and it suddenly occurred to me that Esther was no longer with us…It felt like my stomach got punched.
A beautiful soul is forever gone but your smile, kindness and your fighting spirit would never be forgotten.

Esther had always been the kindest and nicest person in the office. She taught me so much when I first became a MA. It was a pleasure working with her. May she rest in peace.

Dear Esther, having worked with you over 2 decades, it occured to me that you brought nothing but positivity to our environment…an easy thing to overlook when such an attitude is so consistent over a long period of time. That I will always associate you with your tag line “You’re most welcome” suggests that you were thanked…a lot.

My dearest Esther and family — I will always treasure the memories of our many years working closely together. Your professional work ethic never went unnoticed by me. I will remember our many days working together at the office and celebrating your birthdays. In a lifetime, you meet many people. My Esther was special. She never ever had a cross or negative word to say. We had a special working relationship of mutual respect and consideration. Your knowledge of all critical processes was unsurpassed. So sad to hear of Esther’s passing but happy for her that the battle is over. I had the privilege of working with Esther a number of times over the years as she kept me in administrative order in my business. She always had a smile, a kind word and genuine care and concern for everyone around her. She will be missed! My sincere condolences for the family and those close to her. As you know Esther has worked with Milestone WEPG for years. What you may not know is that she called me her ‘Big Brother’ and I called her ‘Little Sister’. We spoke every day at work and sometimes on weekends. Just days before Esther passed away we were texting daily and I wanted to share with you some of her words….and I quote
“Although the outlook is not positive, I will try my best to kick ass… I am thinking our job is really important. It makes such a big impact for the family and it also impact the next generation….keep up the great job we are doing, my big brother”.
Esther was more than a colleague, she was our partner, our friend and my Little Sister. Esther will be missed by all of us at work, and with no surprise by so many of our clients who loved talking with her and are deeply saddened by her loss. Many have asked me to pass on their condolences as well.
I feel blessed to have had her in my life.
I worked with Esther for only a short time, of her full and amazing career at London Life.
I remember fondly her patient kindness, her smile and her generous spirit that often helped me in my early days.
I am truly saddened and will always cherish the time I spent in her company.

This is unfortunate news. I have worked with Esther over the years and I always enjoyed our conversations. We would see each other at company events and she was always such an incredibly pleasant person. I will miss her. My condolences go out to her family.
