On December 15th, 2025, the world lost a light that can never be replaced.   Eugenio Amatangelo, son, husband, father, nonno, uncle and nephew passed away surrounded by his loved ones after battling many health hardships.  
Born on August 27th1935 in Rocca Pia, Italy, nonno walked through life with big open hands and an open heart, always offering support, historical facts, geographical facts and wisdom to all.
 
Our nonno Eugenio was an intelligent and kind hearted man with a knack for story telling.  He endured a lot during his life time whether in Italy, Luxembourg or in Canada but we will always remember him as a fighter with an unwavering will to live.
 
Our nonno Eugenio leaves behind a legacy of hard work and strength.  He is survived by his wife Gina Amatangelo (née Leone), his only son Palmiero (Antonia) and his only two grandchildren Jean-Luc (Sarah) and Isabelle (Josh).

elevated 8RHIs His absence will be felt deeply by friends, family and the many lives he touched along the way.  

In honour of the way he lived, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
