I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. My heart aches for you. I wish you peace and comfort.
Remembering Eva 🤍
“A kind soul who could light up a room with just a smile, always making everyone—from lifelong friends to strangers on the street—feel welcome.”
Eva just knew how to make the world feel a little warmer. She was a truly kind soul—always nice to everyone, lighting up every room with her smile, and making complete strangers feel welcomed. Whether she was checking in on a friend or driving out of her way to help family/friends prepare for an event, her heart was always open.
I was lucky enough to meet Eva on Friday May 15, 2015. We were just colleagues passing each other’s desks on a long weekend Friday, casually talking about weekend plans. Someone mentioned going to the Halton Hills outlet malls, and next thing we knew, we hopped in a car together. We bonded instantly. Shortly after, surprisingly the lease I signed was just five minutes from her house, and from there, it was years of dinners, sushi nights, pho runs, festivals, and deep conversations.
Even though she was taller, I was older, so we forever became “Big Sis” and “Little Sis.” Life got busy this past year with family and work, making it hard to meet up in person, but whenever we spoke on the phone, we picked up right where we left off—already planning for her to help me declutter my house this fall.
Eva was a gentle, fun, beautiful force of good. Anyone who knew her loved her.
I am heartbroken and will truly miss her. Rest in peace little sis 🤍
I am so deeply sorry for this tremendous loss of such a beautiful soul.
I am one of Eva’s high school friends. My name is Michelle. I will always remember Eva for her immense kindness and loyalty. She was such a wonderful friend.
We had some chats recently online and I really cherish those conversations. She always reached out and offered her warm hand to help without hesitation no matter what she was going through or how busy she was.
Rest well angel, we will always remember you.
May her memory be eternal. My deepest condolences. She was a bright, friendly and beautiful soul.
We are saddened to hear the news and have been thinking of you during this very difficult time. Cherish all the lovely memories you created together. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Norma, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I believe that anyone who was lucky enough to meet, or even just cross paths with Eva, will miss her bright, kind and loving presence.
I had the great pleasure of meeting you first, Norma, so thank you for introducing me to your beautiful daughter. Eva’s kind, thoughtful personality was so genuine, I feel very fortunate to have known her and to be able to call her Friend.
Eva and family you will continue to be in my thoughts and in my heart.
Eva had a beautiful smile, and an infectious personality that lit up every room she entered. I’m so grateful for the cousin Christmas’ and special birthdays we spent together.
The pain of not having this beautiful woman with us any longer is very deep, but her smile and all the special times we shared will keep her with us
God bless Norma, her brothers, and all her nieces, nephews and in-laws. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Eva,
The pain I feel having lost you. Its immense. You were someone I had not known for a long time – though it felt the opposite. It was incredibly easy to connect with you and it was never long before you had me laughing at the hilarity of something you said.
That was not something I ever took for granted. You made me feel included and your particular unique energy always made the events more joyous. It was always better with you around.
I knew I was not alone in this experience, the love you displayed for me was evident across all your relationships with the people who knew you. I truly admired it.
It still amazes me how I had only known you for a year. Reflecting on all the great times we had together, I am so grateful I got to experince those.
I am truly heartbroken at all the memories we wont get to make. Your absence is something that is going to be hard to forget. I know I can carry on. There is nothing else to do. But to me, your absence will be as loud as the music. Perhaps one day it will fade. But it will never disappear.
My deepest and sincerest condolences to Norma and the entire family. I was so saddened to hear of the passing of my dear old friend, Eva.
I used to live on Westwood Lane, and Eva and I would walk to and from Langstaff Secondary School together. She was one of my closest friends during my first couple of years of high school, before I transferred after moving. I’ll never forget her smile, her voice, and most of all, her wonderful sense of humor.
I was also so saddened to hear of her father’s passing just a year before. Although we may not have kept in touch over the years — something I truly wish we had — the memories never fade.
Norma, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Eva will always hold a special place in my memories.
Eva, my heart hurts knowing you’re gone. You weren’t just an old friend — you were such a big part of my childhood, my first neighbour, someone I spent countless days with, laughing, playing, and growing up beside.
I’ll always carry those memories with me — our houses, our street, the endless days of playing together, and our families sharing such special times, even our trip to Cuba.
And somehow, we even shared the exact same birthday — one of those little things that made our connection feel so special.
It’s heartbreaking to think that those days are so far behind us, and now you’re gone. Some people leave a mark on your heart that time can never erase. You will always be a part of mine.
Rest peacefully, I’ll never forget you. ❤️
Norma, thinking of you lots, and sending you so much love during this time.
Dear Sis, I can’t believe that our “ Little Fuzz” Eva is gone. She had so much to live for. We are going to miss her and she will be in our hearts forever.
Till we meet our angel Eva again!
Love Zia Liz ( Zee), Zio Irvin, Cousin Christopher and Lindsay
