It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we announce the peaceful passing of Evangelina da Silveira (nee Mateus) on July 6, 2024, at Southlake Regional Health Centre at the age of 84. Reunited with her beloved husband João. Loving mother of John (Laura) and Stella (Moses). Proud vavó of Jonathan (Milena), Nathan (Kailey), Kyle, Noah, Selena and Caroline. Adored vozinha of Lucas, Marcus, Olivia, Xavier, Evangelina and Emmitt. Beloved sister of Alvarina, Antonio and Fatima. Predeceased by her parents Lauriano and Maria do Carmo, siblings Maria, Inês, Luisa, Teresa and José and many brother and sister in laws. Evangelina will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.

She was such a dear and long time friend of our family and we have both her and your father to thank for making our lives easier and more fun when we came to Canada. They will forever be in our memory and our hearts. May she Rest In Peace. 🙏
