To me she was always Aunty Evelyn who lived across the street from my Grandparents in Nairobi, the mother of friend and schoolmate Roy. The memory of this remarkable lady, one that I will always cherish, is of my visit to her two years ago, before COVID. To my amazement she remembered and enquired after every member of my extensive family around the world, by name.
She was a gentle, beautiful lady whom I was blessed to have known.

Mrs Lobo and her late husband were wonderful human beings. When my brother Furtu and I were boarding with neighbours Mr Lobo used to drive us to school and Mrs Lobo helped with our homework. I will never forget their kindness. Rest in Peace
