elevated 9QQPk Obituary

elevated 9QQPk It is with great sadness that we share with you the loss of Filomena, our beloved wife, mother, nonna, sister, aunt and friend.
Filomena was born on April 28, 1929 in Spinete, Campobasso, Italy into a large Italian family. Filomena married Domenic Damiano and in 1956, along with their son Nick, seeking a better life for their family they moved to Toronto, Canada.  A few years later they very happily  welcomed their two daughters, Joanne and Felicia.
Filomena is predeceased by her husband Domenic, their baby son, her parents Pietro and Felicia, her sisters Giovanna, Rachela, Maria, Giustina, and brothers Salvatore and Giovanni. She is survived by her sister Rosa, brothers Leonardo and Archangelo, her children Nick (Diane), Joanne (Paul) Felicia (Frank) her six grandchildren Paul, Andrea, Erica, Jennifer, Robert, Nichole and their partners, four great grandchildren Emma, Andrew, Lilya , Ben and her many nieces and nephews.
Filomena’s greatest pleasure was her family and spending time with them brought her great joy. She mastered the art of gardening and happily tended to her large gardens of vegetables and flowers. She loved  spending time in the kitchen cooking up a storm with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren, making several different pizzas, pastas, etc., catering to everyone’s favourites while at the same time sharing her cooking secrets. We are so grateful for all the beautiful memories we have been so privileged to enjoy for so many years, and we feel very grateful for the blessing of her long life with us.
We will forever miss her and hold her close  to us, always cherishing deep and happy memories of  her warm and gentle love.
If you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations  to the Canadian Cancer  Society would be appreciated.
Following the internment we would be comforted if you would join the family for refreshments.
