elevated Zk9KU Obituary

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Filomena “Mena” Marcello, on Friday, October 2nd, 2026, at the age of 97.

elevated Zk9KU Mena was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale Marcello, her husband and lifelong companion. Together, they built a beautiful life centred on faith, family, hard work, and love. Their devotion to one another and the family they created will remain a lasting legacy for generations to come.

elevated Zk9KU Mena was a devoted and loving mother to Joe (Mirella), Bruna (Dieter), and Anna (Sam), and was predeceased by her beloved daughters Enza and Sara. Her children were the greatest treasures of her life. No matter how old they became, they would always be her children, and she never stopped worrying about them, praying for them, and loving them with all her heart.

She was a cherished grandmother to Patricia (Joey), Amanda (Vince), Jonathan, Michael, Annamarie, Samantha (Adam) and Christina, and a proud Great-Grandmother to Christian, Julian, and Isabella.

elevated Zk9KU Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy. She cherished every visit, every conversation, every celebration, and every precious moment spent surrounded by her family. To them, she was not simply a grandmother and great-grandmother, but a source of unconditional love, wisdom, comfort, and strength.

elevated Zk9KU Mena’s greatest gift was her ability to make family feel like home. She carried with her the traditions and values that were so important to her—faith, family, generosity, and the belief that no matter what life brought, family should always stand together. Around her table, through family gatherings and celebrations, she created memories that will be treasured forever.

elevated Zk9KU A woman of deep faith, Mena trusted in God throughout her long and remarkable life. Her faith gave her strength through both joyful and difficult times, and she found comfort in prayer and in the promise that this life is not the end, but a journey home to our Heavenly Father.

elevated Zk9KU As we say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing that Mena’s journey on earth has come to an end, and that she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord. We pray that Our Blessed Mother, Mary, whom she trusted and loved, has welcomed her with open arms and guided her gently home to Heaven.

elevated Zk9KU We find peace in believing that Mena is once again reunited with her beloved Pasquale and her dear daughters, Enza and Sara. What a beautiful reunion that must be.

elevated Zk9KU Although our hearts are heavy with the pain of losing her, we are grateful to God for the blessing of having Mena in our lives for 97 years. Her life was a testament to the enduring power of a mother’s love, the strength of family, and the beauty of faith.

elevated Zk9KU Her greatest legacy is the love she shared so generously, a love that will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love will live on in the stories we tell, the traditions we carry forward, the meals we share, the prayers we say, and most of all, in the love we have for one another.

elevated Zk9KU Mena will be deeply missed by her family, relatives, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. We will carry her memory in our hearts and thank God for the precious gift of her life.

elevated Zk9KU Until we meet again, may you rest peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus, reunited with those you loved and surrounded forever by God’s eternal light.

elevated Zk9KU If desired, donations in memory of Filomena “Mena” Marcello may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
