elevated N8jGM With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Flora Martin Galan born in Spain who passed away at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. Loving mother of Fernando (Kathleen) and Flora (Abel). Grandmother to Joyce (Michael) and Hazel (Matthew), and great grandmother to Preston, Isabella, Juliana and Vienna. She will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, grand nieces and the rest of her family and friends. Rest in Peace Yaya.

Mama we are so proud of your strengths and determinations which were beyond imagination. Your being home with us made it possible to keep and share you and your precious moments. God reached out for you, and no matter how long it took, you prepared us for it. It was hard for us to let you go. Now that your pain is gone, you are finally free and are in peace. With a broken heart we say good bye to our Aunt/Tia Flora . The matriarch of the family is at peace. She was strong, tough, funny and so loving. Almost 94 this coming May on Mother’s Day. She will be so missed. Till we see you again Tia ❤️ We love you.

De tu Hijo Fernando and Kathleen You were a strong and very compasionate mother that always had the best interests in mind when it came to your family. At times when things were rough, you always smiled and cracked a joke to make us all laugh and lift our spirits. We always looked up to you for wise guidance and experience since you were the matriarch of the family. I always looked up to you and listened to you for your wise words. God has reached for you Mom and you are finally at peace. You are now in heaven and waiting for us.

Dear Family – We are so sorry that we cannot be there with you during this difficult time. Please know that our prayers and thoughts are with you. Dona Flora was one in a million. We have never met a woman of such strength and determination. She lived a good life on her own terms. She got to enjoy her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a good mother, grandmother, aunt, etc. but also a “Lady Boss” before that was even a thing. She was “El Sol de Espana”. We know she will be missed but rest assured that she lives on in each one of you Flora, Joyce and Hazel. You have inherited her many gifts. With much love to all of you. May she rest in peace. xo
