elevated 53voV Franca passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Markham-Stouffville Hospital surrounded by the love of her family. Beloved wife of Simon Kolinas, and proud and loving mother of Gabriel and Luca. Franca was the loving daughter of Anna and the late Ralph (2012) Romano, and sister of Carla and her husband Peter Roberto, and Elisa and her husband Jordon Philip. Dear aunt of Francesco and Connor. She will be sadly missed by her parents-in-law Greg and Christine Kolinas, and her sisters-in-law Sophia and Elaine. Dear granddaughter of Immacolata and Sophia. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated by the family as your expression of sympathy.

To Franca’s entire family,
I find myself still trying to process Simons note from Sunday. I wanted to believe it was a sick joke and now accept that a dear friend and colleague is gone.
I hired Franca many years ago to be my art director at Rogers. I knew the second I met her that she was not only uniquely talented, but a very special and kind human being. She became my friend and while we maybe didn’t speak every day, she was always in my thoughts.
More recently I asked Franca to work with me on a special project for UofT. We created a website for the Medical Sciences dept and they were thrilled with the finished product. The quality of her work has led to new opportunity with the university and I am so very sad that I will not be able to enjoy our brainstorming sessions over cappuccino. Franca did make a mean cup of coffee!❤️
I’ve enjoyed many days sitting with Franca at her kitchen table, playing with her beautiful boys, so she could work her on-screen magic for me.
Franca made the world a better place and I know this loss will be felt by many. It will take a very long time to accept this. She was far too young and too kind.
Please accept my love and best wishes to her family. And know I will continue to celebrate Franca and will cherish the memories we created.

Words do not do justice to how I feel in my heart. I am terribly saddened to the passing of a great mother, wife, sister, daughter and my friend. I was blessed beyond measure to have had her as my friend. I loved her deeply. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and my prayers.

Franca made the days is high school shine brighter. She had the kindest heart and was one of the sweetest girls. Although we lost touch after graduation, I remember her smile, friendship and kindness with the greatest affection. My heart goes out to the whole family. My deepest condolences.
