It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Francis Gaber, who passed too soon following a critical health issue. After four weeks, she passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on March 9, 2026.

elevated NgzDh Francis was the daughter of Leopold and Franziska Leitner and born in Weyer, Austria. She was the beloved wife of Stanley Gaber (predeceased in 2001) and Bernard Vermette, and devoted mother to son Andreas and stepdaughters Danielle and Sabrina.

elevated NgzDh Francis was a proud and adoring grandmother who will be forever loved and remembered by her grandchildren: Cameron; Mark; Sophie; Chloe; Nina; and Noah.

elevated NgzDh She will also be deeply missed by her sisters Inge and Mary, as well as her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends across Austria, Mexico, Italy, and Canada.

elevated NgzDh Francis was truly a very special person—full of joy and laughter, with a love for adventure and an energetic spirit. She embraced life wholeheartedly, easily made new friends, and cherished the outdoors. She especially enjoyed skiing, skating, swimming, taking long walks, and staying active.

elevated NgzDh Francis will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
