elevated fvOO1 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, loving mother and adored Nonnina, Francesca D’Elia (nee) Campolongo at the age of 80, after her lengthy struggle with dementia. On Wednesday, January 20, 2021, Francesca passed peacefully at home in Woodbridge ON surrounded by her family and comforted by her loving grand puppy, Myles. She is predeceased by her parents Raffaele and Giustina Campolongo, her sister Maria Pucciani & brother-in-law Angelo.

elevated fvOO1 Francesca’s caring nature, positive outlook on life, sense of humor and many fond memories will always be cherished by her husband Vincenzo, daughter Filomena Lauber, son-in-law Elwin, and grandchildren Adriana and Alexander.

elevated fvOO1 Francesca was born on February 1, 1940 in San Donato di Ninea, Cosenza Italy. Immigrated to Montreal in 1954 becoming a seamstress. In 1960 married her paesano, Vincenzo, where they worked together at the Freedman Co. They later reunited with her parents, sister and other family, moving to New Jersey in 1970 continuing her trade. In 2015 they moved to Toronto, Canada to be with her daughter and family. Francesca will fondly be remembered for her sweet-loving character, bright smile and all the Turdiddi, Taralli, Riganata e Maccaruni a Fusiddi by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, Italy and the USA.
