ObituaryOn Friday, February 24th, 2023 Francesco (Frank) Pacitto lost his nine year battle with cancer. He was born on Friday, April 11th 1947 in Cassino, Italy to Nicola & Alessandra (Nee Cavaliere). After spending a short time helping his father with the family farm he emigrated to Canada in 1956 through New York with his mother and older brother Antonio (Hazel) to follow his Father. As a new immigrant, Frank struggled his first year in school and was held back, but ever the positive optimist he worked hard to get ahead and ended up skipping the 8th grade to catch up with his peers.
elevated oWjSy Frank had a passion for creativity in all of its forms. Art and music were an integral part of his life, from an early love of comic books to graduating OCA and applying himself in the photographic arts to playing bass with the Casanovas, a band that he formed with his friends to play weddings and parties at places like the Heinztman House and Luna Ballroom.
elevated oWjSy Frank settled down with his wife Pasqualina (Pat) (Nee Pignatelli) in 1973 in a small home just outside of Toronto. Shortly after, in 1974, he brought his passion to the family business and joined the partnership at Best Way Stone where he was able to apply his creative eye to the growth of the burgeoning precast concrete field and with his partners have been able to carve out a prominent role in that industry.
elevated oWjSy He always made time to spend with his sons Jeffrey (Laurie) and Andre (Daniela) as well as his four grandchildren (Matthew, Alessandra, Jessica, and Francesca), watching them grow and learn from him both the quirky and the practical approach to life and helping them find the good in everything and everyone.
elevated oWjSy He also loved spending time with his brother and sixteen brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, 34 Nieces and Nephews (and their partners) and 34 grand-nieces and grand-nephews (and their partners).

elevated oWjSy Frank’s smile will be missed, as his kindness preceded him everywhere, through the many familial and business relationships that often turned to friendships thanks to his loving open heart. He accepted everyone and everything life brought to him and seeked out even more. His memory will live on through every kind word and gentle action he took with those he touched throughout his life.
elevated oWjSy All we can do now Frank is follow what you always said, tira m’avanti.

He was a great friend and kind man. My Mom danced to his music when he played for the Casanovas. Made me laugh when I would get quality Amarone and he would mix it with coke. I will miss him but will always remember him.

Dear Pat
I was just informed by a mutual friend about your loss of Frank . I have truly been left speechless …no words can express how I feel .
Having spent my youth playing and later working at the lumberyard next door ….I think I’ve known Frank for the best part of my life ! With a twinkle in his eye Frank always took the time to say hello, found a kind word to say and left you feeling “kinda special”
Preceding the loss of own father Frank had several meaningful discussions with him both business and personal and again left my father with a sense of calm ,hope and peace ….for that I must express deep gratitude !
…..and afterwards when I was in a very dark place Frank and yourself opened your doors and invited me to participate in some of your family events . Although time and distance has created a gap ….please dont ever think that I could forget the compassion that was shown to me .
The last time I went to BWS the boys (Frank and Paulo) were at a conference …..we never spoke .
The void he left is immense …..I’m so sad … I’m so glad to have known him ..I’ll miss him forever
All my love
Dave Sheldrake
Pat, Jeffrey and Andre… you know how much I love Frank..
He has been my mentor, my very dear friend, the very person who I truly look up to and will always…
Almost 30 years of admiration and respect… Frank was always there to simply say … hey are you ? Hey, sit down … and we would talk and talk about just being us or just being the best we can be…
I will miss our talks, our phone calls… I will miss his txt – whether they were… heart felt words or visual greetings for whatever season… I love you buddy and I will miss you so much my dear friend!

please accept our deepest condolences for your loss. Frank has been known to us for many years and even though we didn’t see him often, when we did meet at several fundraisers, we saw a man that was kind and personable. He was extremely generous, and always supportive of charitable endeavors. In particular, he was a strong supporter of our lupus fundraiser “Dance for the cure”.
He will be sorely missed by his whole family and by all who were touched by his kindness and generosity.
