elevated q86Ip It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing away of Francesco Garofalo on July 15, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Vincenzina. Caring and devoted father to Santo (Patricia) and Rosa (John). Proud Nonno to Serena, Jeremy, Adriana, Michael and Francesca. Francesco will be remembered in the hearts of many family and friends. If desired donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

My sincere condolences to Francesco’s children and their families for the loss of their father. Francesco was a faithful altar server of St. John Bosco Parish for many years. He carried the cross every Sunday in the mass procession towards the altar and he always greeted anyone entering the sacristy with a warm smile, kind words and often, a witty remark. I will cherish the copies of the poems and prayers he gave me, as he wrote about his deep faith and service to God. I am saddened by his loss and will keep him in my prayers. God bless Francesco.
