elevated 1AzOy It is with deeply saddened hearts that we share the news that Francis Xavier Anthony Moraes passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on December 7, 2025

elevated 1AzOy Born February 24, 1931 in Aldona, Goa India to the late Albertina and Victor Moraes. He is survived and dearly missed by his wife of 58 years Celina (Sally), his 3 wonderful children Stephen, Elaine (Daniel) & Sybil (Milutin) and adored grandchildren Ashley, Riley and Joshua.

elevated 1AzOy Xavier immigrated from Nairobi, Kenya to Toronto, Ontario Canada in 1967, marrying his soulmate Sally and created a beautiful life for his family. He found his professional calling working as an Insurance Claims Specialist for 38 years at Manulife and then 10 years at Empire Life Insurance followed by 26 years of blissful retirement.

elevated 1AzOy In his spare time, he loved partaking in family events, socializing with friends, cultivating lush fruit and flower gardens with Sally, watching the Toronto Maple Leafs, and taking annual family vacations to sunny beach destinations. His pride and joy was first and foremost being a loving husband, father, grandfather and trustworthy friend to call upon to offer sage guidance and support.

elevated 1AzOy Xavier will be dearly missed by his family and leaves behind an abundance of stories and memories that his family and friends will forever cherish. His passing will be deeply felt by many and his life will be joyously remembered and long celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to have shared in it.
