Francisco De Barros Ferreira passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 30, 2019 at the age of 73.  He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 47 years, Maria Augusta. Beloved father of Cristina (Nick), and Fernanda (Bill). Loving grandfather of Luca, Jeremy, Matthew, and Juliana. His greatest joy was his grandkids and he cherished the simple things in life – his wife by his side, his homemade wine, and his futebol. He was always smiling and now he is smiling down on us with love from heaven. Family and friends will be received at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home located at 211 Langstaff Road East in Thornhill on Sunday, January 5, 2020. Visitation from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Chapel of St. Joseph within Holy Cross on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 9:15 a.m.  Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Sincere gratitude to Southlake Regional Health Centre, with special thanks to the Palliative Care team. In lieu of flowers, donations to Southlake Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
