It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Franco Rea on October 28, 2026, at the age of 89 years. He was born in Arpino, Frosinone, Italy, and passed away in Maple, Ontario, Canada surrounded by his loving family. He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife Rita of nearly 67 years, his parents Domenico and Loreta, and his sister Anna. Loving father of Lorella and her husband Chahe. Proud Nonno of Alex and Steven (Hazra). Dear brother of Osvaldo.

He is lovingly remembered as an honest, dependable man of integrity, with a strong work ethic, an unwavering love and devotion to his family, a deep pride in his heritage, and a sharp wit and clever sense of humour. His legacy lives on through his family who honour his memory.
