With great sadness, we announce the passing of Frank Kocsis in Richmond Hill on October 25, 2022. He was the only son of the late John and Maria Kocsis. He is the beloved husband of Katalin for over 63 years. Cherished father of Frank (the late Isabelle) and Eva (Zoran). Dear grandfather of Margaux, Emma, Daniel, and Sophia.
elevated oB4PJ The family will receive visitors at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Rd E between 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 5. A funeral mass will be held in the Chapel of St. Joseph which is inside the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation are appreciated by the family.

Katinéni, with your family in Toronto and ours in Montreal, we rarely got to visit each other but I will be forever grateful for the last visit we had with you and sógor while our own mom was still alive. It was a lovely day spent together which I will forever remember with fondness. He was a lovely and kind man. May he rest in the light as we hold memories of him close to our hearts.

Katineni, Frank, Eva and family – it was with sadness that I learned of the passing of “Coated Sugar”. What I’ll remember him best for is the Christmas Days that I spent as his guest at his country estate. To say he was a lover of life would be an understatement – he had this rare and infectious gift of making you feel like he couldn’t wait to see you and then would go out of his way to make sure you were enjoying yourself as much as he did.
Originally from a communist country this guy took to the capitalist system like a duck to water – I always thought it was one of his most admirable traits.
A tip of the cap to you Frank – your work is done – and now you can enjoy all those that went before you in God’s kingdom – rest in peace.
Dear Kati, Eva, Frank – dear Kocsis family – the news greatly saddened us. Our heartfelt condolences.
We will not forget his smile and great sense of humor. He made every moment fun and enjoyable. What an amazing person! We are grateful to have had the privilege of knowing him.
