RITLOP, Frank – With family by his side, Frank peacefully passed on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Born on October 24, 1933 in Crensovci, Slovenia, he moved to Canada in 1955 to build a new life. His bride-to-be, Terezija, joined him in 1957. Married in 1958, they celebrated their 50 years anniversary in 2008.
elevated SxB1v Frank is predeceased by his wife, Terezija. He was a loving father and is survived by his two children; Theresa (Paul) and John (Helene); loving grandfather to Sonya (Mark), Peter (Lisa), Andrea (David), Alex and Patrick; devoted great-grandfather to Benjamin, Evelyn, Rose, Luke, Lucy, Noah, Skyler and Mayson. He will be greatly missed by his many relatives and friends in Canada and ‘back home’ in Slovenia. Frank will be remembered for his love of bolina (bocce ball), polka dancing, the Slovenian and Premurska farms and his love-hate relationship with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
elevated SxB1v Visitations will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Rd E, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A private funeral mass and interment will be held. In lieu of flowers, Frank’s family requests donations to the Canadian Lung Society.
Dear Theresa, your Dad loved and was loved and there will be a hole in your heart. He is now with you Mom, together in heaven.
