It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gabriele Di Gregorio on November 14, 2021 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of 52 years to Maria, loving father to Peter (Pierina), proud grandfather to Christian, Mateus and Celeste. He is survived by his sister Carmela. He joins his brother Eugenio and sisters Filomena, Eva, Antonietta, Donatella, Elisa, Annina and Oliva in God’s grace.
elevated 9lURd Gabriele passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by those he cherished after a battle with diabetes and kidney failure. Until recently, he could be found spending hours in his garden, with his chickens or watching his treasured Inter Milan soccer team. His heart would explode with joy each time he saw his table full of friends and family enjoying his homemade wine, a slice of prosciutto or his wife’s pizza. He never said no to helping whenever he could or recalling a memory from his hometown Rosciano in his beloved Italia. A proud 50-year member of union Local 31, he would tell never-ending stories of a lifetime installing tiles and terrazzo at countless subway stations, shopping malls and schools throughout Ontario. He will be forever missed.
elevated 9lURd Due to COVID, a private mass and funeral will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 10:30 am. If desired, donations can be made to Canadian Diabetes Association.

Gabe was one of my favourite cousins, he was funny, compassionate, very vocal and yet he was such a gentle man who would cry with you because he felt your pain.
