Dear Family
We had the good fortune and blessings to live 2 doors down from your father and mother on Napanee Str. Wonderful, kind and friendly neighbors. Will always remember the both of them doing their 12 bushels of tomatoes and the lessons they gave us making salami. Always a big smile. A work ethic unmatched.
Thinking about those golden moments.
Joan&Rick
Dear Joan & Rick,
Thank you so much for your beautiful message. It truly means a lot to our family.
Hearing your memories of my mom and dad brings such comfort. Those were very special times, and it’s wonderful to know they shared those moments with kind neighbors like you. The tomatoes, the salami, and especially their smiles and strong work ethic — those are exactly the things we will always cherish and remember.
Your words brought a smile to our hearts during this difficult time. Thank you for remembering them so fondly.
With sincere appreciation,
Anna and Family
Emma Filippo
Dear Family,
My deepest condolences to all of you. I am Peter, Anna and Marisa’s cousin.
The memories of your amazing Dad go way back to my childhood, and I want you to know that through the years I have not forgotten his kindness to me and my family.
In February of 1956, your Dad, my mother, my sister and I, as well as my mom’s cousin and her 2 boys boarded the SS Independence bound for Canada. My mother and her cousin got severe sea sickness from the moment that the ship set sail. Your Dad took care of my sister and I as well as my mom’s cousin’s two little boys for the entire trip.
He would pick us up every morning and bring us on many exciting adventures on board ship. With him, we felt happy and safe.
Your Dad was a very young man at the time and I can’t thank him enough for choosing to take care of 4 small children for the entire trip!
I knew your Mother as well and I have many fond memories of her too.
All of us were blessed to know your wonderful parents.
May they rest in peace.
God Bless,
Emma
Our deepest condolences on your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
