elevated JVkMQ Obituary

elevated JVkMQ It is with both deep sadness and immense gratitude that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved and beautiful Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Gabriella Marin, who left this world at the age of 90, surrounded by the love of her family.

elevated JVkMQ Born in Pederobba, Provincia di Treviso, Italy in 1935, Gabriella immigrated to Canada, at a young age, full of hope and determination.  She lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, laughter, resilience and grace. Her story is one of love for her family and for the simple moments that give life its beauty.  Gabriella was the heart and soul of our family.

elevated JVkMQ For over 50 years, she shared a faithful and loving life with her beloved husband, Domenico; a bond rooted in faith, trust, respect and commitment.  Together they built more than a home; they built a legacy of love, sacrifice and strength not just through words but through tireless effort, long days and perseverance in creating a wonderful life for their family.

elevated JVkMQ Gabriella had a nurturing spirit and lived with deep purpose and quiet dignity. She offered kindness without hesitation and love without limits.  She never sought recognition, yet her impact on our lives and so many others, near and far, is immeasurable.

elevated JVkMQ Gabriella was a devoted Mother, a proud Grandmother and a loving Great-Grandmother. Her hugs were comforting, her stories rich with life, and her kitchen—always the heart of the home—was a place of gathering, laughter and the world’s best pizza, lasagna and pizzelle.  She was always cooking, sewing or baking. Her legacy lives on in the countless memories she gifted us, and in the values she instilled—compassion, patience and kindness.

elevated JVkMQ Gabriella leaves behind her loving Children, Rosario (Sandra), Paolo, Giuliana (Nick), Anna (Michael); her treasured Grandchildren Stephanie (Jose), Nicole (Mark), Nick (Amanda), Christian (Meaghan), Daniel (Chanel), Alexander (Alexandria),  Emma (Adam), Steffen (Ami), Vanessa (Domenic) and Natalie (Brock); and her cherished Great-Grandchildren, Domenic, Luca, James, Adele, Avery, Penelope, Alessio and Gianluca – each one carrying a piece of her heart and spirit forward.  Gabriella will always be remembered by her remaining Sister Litizia (Antonio). She is also survived by a large extended family both in Canada and Italy, all of whom will miss her dearly.

elevated JVkMQ Though the depth of our sorrow is great, so too is our appreciation for the time we had with her, and the love she gave us so freely.  Her presence will forever be felt in our stories and treasured memories. Gabriella will be missed beyond words, but her spirit will remain a guiding light in our lives. We find comfort in knowing that Gabriella is reunited in heaven with Domenico and those she loved who passed before her.

elevated JVkMQ Rest peacefully, Mom, Nonna and Bisnonna. Your love was, and always will be, our greatest gift.

elevated JVkMQ If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in memory and honor of Gabriella, to the St. Anthony of Padua Mission Aid.
