elevated MewCB Peacefully passed away on Saturday October 13, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 90. Gaetano was born June 2, 1928 in Pacentro, L’Aquila in Italy and he was the only son of Antonio Arimini and Chiara Tollis.  Loving husband of 69 years to Iolanda Tollis; they were married in Pacentro, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1959 with their two eldest children.

elevated MewCB He was a caring and devoted father to Tony (Doris), Rina (Salvatore), the late Rosaria, Lucy (George) and Enzo. Proud Nonno to Lori (Kevin), Cher (Paul), Carmine, Christina, Julia, Dante and Elizabeth.

elevated MewCB Gaetano was a devout Catholic who was a member of St. Paschal Baylon Church, where he dedicated his time in helping the parish as an Usher, as a Eucharistic Minister, bringing communion to the sick and homebound, as a member of the Hour of Adoration and also a handyman for the church. He was a well-respected man, not only for the priests, but also for all the parishioners.

elevated MewCB Gaetano proudly worked in construction with tiles and terrazzo; yet his greatest joy was spending time with his family and his garden. He was especially proud of his Italian heritage, often speaking Italian to his children and grandchildren and telling stories of his hometown.

elevated MewCB He will be lovingly missed by his family and friends.

elevated MewCB The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise of Unionville Senior Living and Markham Stouffville Hospital for all their care and his friends for their thoughts and prayers.
