elevated BGLb6 After a champion fight with cancer, Gayle peacefully passed away from this life into eternal life with her Lord on November 24, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 70. Beloved mother to Shawna (Eugene), proud Nana to Nathanael and Iylagayle and devoted wife to the late Hugh. Cherished sister to Charlene ( the late Neil), Janice (Ron), Lorraine (Frank) and the late Jim. Adored aunt to Jason, Kelly (Greg), Ryan (Carolyn) Krysta (Bill) and Courtney (Kevin) and her great nieces (Emily, Faith and Jane ) and great nephews ( Aidan, Liam, Zachary, Isaiah, Noah, Cole, Keaton and Andy). Fondly remembered by many close friends.

Gayle, I wish that I’d had the opportunity to meet you. Your wonderful sister, Janice is a good friend of mine and I know how very dear your were to her. She spoke of you often. She spoke of your courage, your resilience, and your loving personality. I know how crushed she is by your death. Very fortunately she’ll have many, many wonderful memories of the happy sister times you so often shared. Your St.Patrick’s Day gatherings sounded like a real hoot.
Look over her and the rest of your family as they try to deal with your untimely death.
Heaven has received a true angel .
Your laughter and kindness made this world a brighter place .You will be remembered for that.

After retirement from Yellow Pages, I got to know Gayle through golf. What a delightful & hugely compassionate person she was. Gayle’s friendship to my family when my late mother, Ada, was in long-term care in the Dawe’s neighbourhood will be in my heart forever. Sincere condolences to Shawna, Eugene & all the family . . .

Dearest Shawna & Eugene, we are so sorry to read this … We know how much you adored and loved your beautiful Mom. Yes she will be missed daily by you …. My Mom went Home October 14, 2013 & I think of her daily and miss her; this is totally normal and all part of grieving. When you’ve had a terrific, loving Mom this is your gift from God, to remember all the wonderful memories you have for LIFE!
