elevated uzGua Obituary

elevated uzGua It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of George Hing-Sing Hung, born March 16, 1948, and passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2023 surrounded by his family.

elevated uzGua Beloved husband of Eva, treasured father of Stanley and Katherine, dearest father-in-law of Michelle and Edmond; adored “Gong-Gong” of Amelia and Cayley, proud “Yeh-Yeh” of Hayden, and cherished brother of Rosa, Henry, Alfred, Clare, and the late Margaret.

elevated uzGua George was born and raised in Hong Kong, and received his education from Wah Yan College (Hong Kong) as well as York University (Toronto, Canada) where he earned degrees in Computer Science and Economics. While in Hong Kong, he met and married Eva, his cherished wife for forty-one blissful years. He then immigrated to Toronto with Eva where they laid down their roots. George had a long and enjoyable career as a computer programmer, but his greatest source of pride was being a father and grandfather.  He was also passionate about his volunteer work with St. Luke’s Catholic Church, association with the Knights of Columbus, and playing ping pong with his friends.

elevated uzGua George loved his home in Thornhill, tirelessly tending to his garden and relishing in maintaining his beautiful home. Alongside Eva, they created the central gathering place where he proudly raised his family, hosted family gatherings, and served as a second home for his grandchildren to visit and play.

elevated uzGua We love you and we will always miss you, Bah Bah.  Besides being our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, our cherished memories of you will forever be captured in the beautiful photos you took as our family’s recognized photographer at all family events, and we will all look back on them with smiles for years to come.
